Teen sensation Jo Jo is enjoying success beyond belief. Her debut album Jo Jo was released on June 22nd. The album spawned the debut hit single "Leave-Get Out." Jojo's single has been burning up the charts and even hit #1 on the Billboard sales chart. The video for "Leave-Get Out," even hit #1 on MTV's top rated video show TRL.
    Her mother was a soloist in the church choir. Teen pop singer JoJo, learned from an early age and she taught herself to interpret the pop and blues tunes she heard with her own distinctive style.


    JoJo grew up listening mather's records and imitating the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Bob Segar and The Aretha Franklin.
    "I remember first hearing about JoJo when I saw parts of her video "Leave (Get Out)" on MTV in February or March. I liked the video and the song and thought she was the next 16-17 year-old to try to be Britney Spears" - reviewer sad.

In 2004, after releasing her debut self-titled CD to much acclaim, Jojo's first single "Leave (Get Out)" went straight to #1 on Top 40 radio. That summer she was also nominated for Best Newcomer at the MTV VMA's, being the youngest nominee (age 13).

The album showcases JoJo's talent, not only as a singer, but as a songwriter as well. She penned three tracks for JoJo, including: "Keep On Keepin' On," "Yes or No," and "Sunshine." Her favorite cut, "Keep On Keepin' On" is especially close to her heart. "It was really hard when I was younger. We were the lowest income people in our town," she explains. "My mom and I lived in a rundown one-bedroom apartment and we lived off very little money. I wrote "Keep On Keepin' On" because I knew I wasn't the only one going through hard times," she says.
